My daughter registered here to take the written test but did not sign up for driving classes. Well when it came time for driving tests, they failed her even saying they couldn t believe she was driving and suggested she sign up for their driving classes hmmm, pay to pass? Hell no, we ll just go straight to DMV. This place seems corrupt.

I chose one star because of how unprofessional this place is. I started going to this place in late of January. The class itself was really good the teacher was really informative and nice. But when it came to behind the wheel is where it went wrong, I had scheduled for practice driving and every time I d call the receptionists kept saying they d call the next day and never did. I gave them numerous chances because I spent money on them and all I needed to do was do a few practice driving courses...
and then the exam and that s all but the whole scheduling part for behind the wheel was a mess. They would take forever to get back to me and then whenever I wanted to schedule it on a certain day they d have to wait for the instructors approval and that d take more time and I would still never get a call back. I was ALWAYS calling them pretty much multiple times a week trying to see if I could get a practice driving course and I only got one around Valentine s Day. The experience driving wasn t that great. I was cooperative and following instructions but the instructor was very unprofessional. When we met up at the place he didn t introduce himself at all whatsoever he just gave me the keys and said ready to drive? . When we got in the car he I had troubles reversing and I wasn t used to driving a car so I was relying on him to help me because at the end of the day that s what he s there for. He kept playing with the radio, he kept calling people, and he didn t seem super interested in helping me and had the audacity to ask me why I don t drive. Like seriously? That s a personal thing to ask. He wasn t very engaging and I would try to make him talk and he would still be quiet. I felt like I was driving by myself at that point and I had to take mental notes on what I needed to work on because he wasn t helping me at all really unless it s for pulling out somewhere or teaching me how to break. He wasn t really doing much. I also noticed he was checking the clock on the car a lot to see when I was done as if he was ready to leave already. My appointment felt really rushed and I hated that a lot. When we got out he said in a sarcastic tone that was fun right? And he left to go home . I tried scheduling another practice driving course while I was at the place and she said yet again I d have to wait for her to call me back. That s like their thing to say and then get mad that I wasn t driving a lot because no one was helping me. They were extremely lazy and unprofessional there. Then after the drive there was a snow storm here so I waited a few days and after everything cleared up still no call. A week ago they called me saying that I had a drive again but no one informed me about that. I told her no one told me and she apologized and I said can I just reschedule instead and she said yet again she d call me to see if anything was open. As you can see there s a pattern of them being inconsistent. If you re not an experienced driver you have to drive multiple times a week to get the hang of it but since there s so many gaps of me not driving I already forgot what I learned the first time. So when I requested to see if I could get a refund the receptionist sounded offended as if I was doing it to troll around when I wasn t. I used only a small portion of the money I gave to them when it came to the behind the wheel and I wanted the rest back so I can go somewhere else. She asked me why and I told her what happened and she said do you know who went with you and I said no and she told me to describe what he lookedlike but she said I couldn t get a refund. It took up until we had to go up there in person to get a refund because they re money grabbers there. They want money but not do the work to get there. When we requested for a refund again the instructor was lying on me and saying that I had multiple driving lessons when I didn t there s literally files that they keep and it shows how many lessons you have. He also offered free lessons instead of giving me the money.

You are better off taking your driving test at the DMV since at this school they charge you around $100 to take your test with three chances, and at the DMV they only charge you $11 for the same amount of chances. Not only that, the person who tests you is very rude.

i overheard something about an angry parent when i was at this location making payment. My son and daughter both recently finished their drivers ed courses (one in the summer, and recently) at the El Dorado location, and they were very happy with the in class instructor and the car driving instructors. They had a great time in class and were even bummed out when they were done stating He didnt make class as boring as some teachers at school I read the other reviews one as recent as today and dont...
understand these parents frustration. The owners are very caring and attentive, my daughter had scheduling problems because she is personally busy with being a senior in highschool and they helped her finish on time. I believe some parents dont understand that these kids are lazy sometimes and dont wanna do drives, but these kids are also nervous as we all were, but my kids had a great time! a message to parents-- Make sure your kids do their 7 drives in the alotted time given, but us parents also have to drive with them to fill the 30 hour log, the school is to help them figure out how to drive, we have to practice with them. As for the prices, i paid about 800 give or take for both of them, but it did come with in class instruction where they learned the details and dangers of driving, 2) the actual driving lessons 3) the driving test at the end that i was not offered at El Paso Driving academy. this school was perfect, we gotta do our part too though. As for prices, you get what you pay for.

La recepcionista me dijo que no habalaba español , con su acento latino. La información me la dio muy apurada y de mala gana.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Came here to do my road test (took my course online) and had a great experience! Although I failed my first time, driving instructor Mr. Martinez explained what I needed to improve on for next time. He even went above and beyond to show me diagrams of the mistakes I was making. I was able to pass my 2nd time and now know what things I should always keep in mind everywhere I m driving. Overall I d rather take my test here than at DPS. Thank you to Ric and Mr. Martinez for everything!! 10/10

West Texas Driving Academy did an outstanding job in the entire process of teaching my daughter how to drive and in getting her drivers license! The instructors were knowledgeable and thorough while also being very kind and considerate. Mr. Barroso, the owner, assisted us every step of the way. I would recommend West Texas Driving Academy to everyone!
