Despite having over 10 years of driving experience in my home country, I decided to take a two-hour driving lesson with them to familiarize myself with US roads, specifically those in Texas. After completing the lesson, the instructor assured me that I was ready to take my DPS test, which I also did with them. During my first attempt, I found the examiners conduct unprofessional, especially when...
he used a timer during parallel parking. Moreover, he seemed to suggest that I needed additional lessons by mentioning his availability until 2 PM. Despite this experience, I booked another test with a different examiner, who criticized me for being too slow and recommended six hours of additional lessons. Feeling discouraged, I initially decided not to return but reconsidered when the manager offered a discounted DPS test. However, my experience repeated itself with the same examiner, who failed me for slowing down in an intersection and looking around to ensure no pedestrian was around and nobody was behind me. After this ordeal, I chose to switch to a different driving school and successfully passed my DPS test on my first attempt. My confidence was severely impacted, and I regret the time and money I invested with Travis Driving School. I share this experience solely as a cautionary tale. I urge others to thoroughly consider all factors before choosing a driving school for their test.

Very informed! I passed on my second time! Instructor Alan helped me stay calm during the entire test and informed me the importance of practicing and keeping focus while on the road as well as situational awareness.
I had my 2 driving lessons done here, each lesson of 2 hours. I really had an amazing experience plus I really got that confident on how to drive. Great instructors. But, I wouldnt recommend giving DPS road test here. They failed me in the 1st attempt saying that I was too slow on the roads, and I take that feedback. After practicing for good 1 week and again took the appointment and the examiner again failed me in my 2 attempt saying that I was +5 above the speed limit. Wow!! They will deliberately...
fail you and get money out your pocket. They also pitch you for taking more lessons from them. Apart from the instructors and examiner, the front desk staff is amazing and super helpful, Adriene & Army. During office hours they reply quickly to your questions and any concerns if you have. If you want to learn how to drive this school is perfect, but for DPS road test I wouldnt recommend this school.
The driver test admin was super nice and friendly even thought he didn t speak much Spanish he help my mom who also spoke little to no English to feel comfortable and was a great experience.
My experience has been so great with Travis driving school. Richard has been an exceptional teacher and John was very helpful, he was calm and helped me relax during the test. It has been a smooth process from start to end.
