I would rate Merkleys a 5, but I never give a 5 to a driving school. The instructor, Nancy is a thorough, exceptionally nice person with a light hearted teaching style. She was genuinely interested in the indidual students and recounted past classes to instruct students to be mindful of their driving. emphasis on demonizing speed and and under emphasis on accident recovery techniques. The Solomon curve shows that the accident involvement rate is higher for people traveling 5 mph below the average speed than for people traveling 15 mph above the average on an interstate highway. Though topics like that werent covered, the instructor made up for it in other ways. I hope to never have to take one of these classes again, but if I do, it will be here.
