160 Driving Academy of Columbus Hilliard

I enjoyed everyday that I was at 160 academy. Especially on the yard. The whole staff offered great advice, and made sure that I had a clear understanding on how to do anything I need help with. Nobody was rude, everyone was patient. I will take alot of info with me everyday while I am in my truck. I recommend anyone to get there training the 160 way!!!

First of all their teaching and coaching skills are magnificent.All the teams and staff members are concerned about the safety rules. They are really great and friendly showing you what you need to know to get your exams passed. The manager and other staff have a friendly conversation with their students which make the learning process easier and understandable for every student in the yard. I will recommend you out there to check out 160 driving Academy.

Great experience, classroom was laid back and very informative. Yard training trainers were great and took their time to thoroughly teach and demonstrate every maneuver. I was nervous trying to learn how to drive a manual, but with the skills that were taught and me taking my time to learn and get better everyday I was able to attain my Class A CDLs on my 1st attempt which was the goal

I just recently obtained my CDL A with 160. I want to start by saying how AMAZING the instructors are! Aaron, Derrick, Blaire, Christopher, Scott, Bruce, Tom, Jo. They all deserve raises, more recognition and more appreciation. They all put their everything into training and making sure you re ready to pass your test!! I truly enjoyed my experience on the Yard. Thank you all so so much! I knew 160 was the school for me when I met Zach. He s great! No sugar coating, straight to the point, very informational!! Thank you!! P.S. Mr CEO do better at taking care of your employees that are out there on the yard in any weather conditions making sure that your students learn all that they can. My experience with 160 driving school has been amazingly nice, I got my CDL at first attempt, one time and out, I self paid for my tuitions. I have no compalsion to write anyone wrong or right review, All my instructors were amazing, big thanks to them, it s like you can show a well to a person who is thirsty, but that person has to drink water by themselves, SAME HERE instructors can show you the way, but efforts are yours, it s just how badly you want your CDL. Read full review the time on the yard regardless or harsh weather conditions, it s was raining, snowing (3.2F / -16C). It s not easy at all to work on open yard, weather conditions did not stop their will to train us, it was same intensity the whole time, felt welcomed the whole time from start to end, 160 Family Big thanks to AARON, CHRIS , BLAIR, RYAN, LUIS , BRUCE, DENIS . I was reluctant to have to restart my CDLA Education with some previous education but excited to be there, I got a good education and great direction for my future on how I can maintain safety and longevity in this business. Thanks again to all the Coaches and Staff I met. They were available and able to work with me every step of the way; and accommodated and motivated me. They are THERE helping people PASS everyday! I had a great experience here at 160. All the instructors were very professional. They could answer any question you might have. Once on the road, they were helpful at keeping you calm while learning a new way to drive. No one in my group had driven a semi in their life. I left 160 with a CDL and lifelong friends. I Loved attending this freaking course. The most exiting was when I came to the yard for the first time and met everybody. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and teach you things that you can use out there in the real world. Blair knows his stuff. I learned how to do a pre trip the best way possible and very efficiently. Read full review. I had a relative that was with Blair the whole time he was there and he s now with one of the most successful trucking companies and is an excellent driver. Scott is great at explaining steps and plays a big part on setting you up for success, he teaches you how to relax and have a certain level of comfort as a driver. All instructors are a joy to be around especially Chris. He s awesome and puts up a challenge on those maneuvers he s a great instructor and thinks outside the box and can really get you to understand something if you re struggling. Tom is awesome, when I first started driving on the road I had my struggles. He s very precise and his mission is to make sure you re one of the best drivers out there and looking damn good at it too. Bruce is great, he prepares you for unpredictable situations and stressful situations, he will mold you into one of the most alert, defensive drivers out there. After driving with him, you will be one with the trailer, as you should be. Derrick is critical in the best way, he ll make you think and he will challenge you, he wants you to be better than you thought you already were. Aaron will not let you believe you cannot do something, very motivating guy. These guys will not let you fail. It s not the 160 way at all. All instructors have their unique way of teaching. It all syncs together as one excellent learning experience. If you re in this program, you re a winner. You got here for a reason and you re gonna come out missing everybody because of how much effort they put in your success. There s other schools but these is THE school to go to. There is a new instructor Josephine that just recently came in and she s great. 160 definitely knows where to find the right people. For giggles there was this one instructor who said WOAH a lot. I forgot his name, but he I think he was scared of the trucks and didn t like the sun..lol good times, he s not there anymore, man that dude was funny as hell though.. My life changed for the better after this program. I can definitely say I couldn t have done it without this. Thank you 160.

160 Driving academy is a blessing to my family! We have 8 children and #9 on the way . I enrolled in 160 and put in my 2 weeks at my job . It was a big risk to switch careers so Im glad I went with 160 ! They have a high success rate! They can train even the worst candidates haha . I had a hard time downshifting (I could drive better backwards than forward) haha . I coasted on my first test and failed . I passed my test on the 2nd try and went automatic! It was 100% easier and I will go back later...

I am so grateful for Sherry , Zach , Liz , Aaron , Chris , Scott , Darek , Bruce , Blair , Tom and the Scott that was only there for a few weeks we had some good laughs WOAH WOAH WOAH yall didnt just give me the skills to pass the test . My journey through 160 Academy was very thorough, engaging, and well taught. The instructors during my virtual class and driving range were top-notch and professional. I definitely would recommend this school over others. 1 & Done.
