Someone coming with no trucking background coming to this academy has giving me the confidence and can do this attitude for my CDL s. The instructors are very knowledgeable and have on road life experience. They supply you with the knowledge, give you the space, on hand if/when needed and it s up to you to succeed. Great experience!!

The instructors were awesome! They were patient, down to earth and helpful thru the whole training. And believe me, i needed HELP! There is no such thing as a dumb question and they mean that here! Your first morning you may feel youre among strangers but by lunch time youre among a rock solid team where everyone helps one another!!

This is a scam. They say the state requires 120-160 hours to get your CDL-A. Thats an absolute lie! Theres a school at the Batavia, OH test site that is 2 weeks long and $3500 and you get your license. I would never recommend this school. The only positive thing is the instructors are cool.

160 Academy Cincinnati is for previous truck drivers it will be easy but for beginners you must have a quick learning attitude: 2 instructors in classroom give a quick refresher for written test and then 2-3 instructors will help you practice passing the test in the truck Yard until your final day to test with their truck to get or renew your CDL. The classroom instructors arent trained to adjust instructions that cater to different individuals, its a one size fit all, thats...
in the classroom or online instructors are a hot mess, was kind of unorganized: However in the yard which is an outdoor classroom=Port-o-potty and picnic tables, only thing missing is a barbecue=YOU ARE OUTDOORS no exceptions. So by that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the outdoor extremes of rain with no real shelter and that cold was horrible for pre-trip inspections...but 5 stars for very close to real with a trucking company. Yard instructors teach great especially Jim he is the best & then there is Tiny in Cincinnati, really knows how to cut the icing and get to the cake of learning and the focus of passing the CDL test as well as Tiny who is a dear sweetheart & drill drill drill on corrections, he wont let up but that is good. I give them all in the yard a thumbs up, Ray a little rough but trucking is a rough industry so if you cannot take Rays approach then you might not be fit for trucking. I give the classroom a thumbs down!
