I think this is THE best company in NYC to practice for the test. They are so calm and professional. I had multiple instructors but Andrew is my favorite. He makes made me feel calm even when I made mistakes and never got loud or obnoxious when I forgot something. I highly recommend him. 10/10 Also I passed my road test after practicing with him :)
Took their online course for $50, had an Instructor that made the procedures easy to understand for anyone. He had a very positive attitude and it didn t feel like I was being taught by a robot. He has Humor but remained serious about the tasks that were learned during the 5 Hour. No complaints coming from me.

I took two driving lessons with Drive Rite and unfortunately both were a bit underwhelming. While the instructors were friendly, they didn t provide any particularly helpful feedback. Additionally, I experienced a miscommunication with the Admin team. However, they were quick to respond and offer a solution, which I appreciated. One standout experience was with Gus, who accompanied me to my road test . He was exceptional , offering insightful information before the test and helping to calm my nerves. I passed my test and I m grateful for the role he played in that success.
Had a 5 hour refresher course (1 hour once a week) after not driving for 15 years. My instructor was very helpful, and very chill guy. I felt relaxed and not nervous getting back to the wheel again and would highly recommend! The only real down side is the driving school has no real parking space so youre constantly having to fight a million cars driving through Austin street and double parking on the side as the LIRR station no longer allows for driving school pick up.
I purchased the new driver s package with 8 lessons, the 5 hour course, and the road test included around the end of March. Since then, I ve been taking lessons with Joseph B, who was such a major help and great instructor (as well as Ian), especially for someone like me who had major driving anxiety. I just took my road test and passed, and I owe it to these lessons for building my confidence and preparing me. Drive Rite also dealt with a concern I had with a less than positive experience with a different instructor and gave me back a lesson due to the negative experience. Overall, I highly recommend Drive Rite!
Overall, I had a pleasant experience with Drive Rite Academy. The prices were affordable for the lessons I selected. They were flexible with my schedule as they could get considering how quickly they would get booked. Out of the 2 instructors I practiced with, Sam was by far the best as he was informative and demonstrative of how to better understand the road and what was expected of me during my Road Test. Thanks to Sam, I passed my Road Test on my first try. I highly recommend this place to anyone pushing to get their license.

This was a very intuitive course. Dave is an excellent instructor, giving real-world advice, infusing dry humor and two 15-minute beaks, the time flew by. Highly recommend. Very professional. If you go to the office on Dean St., you will be be met with a lovely brand new building, in a lovely area near all things in the vicinity of Park Slope, and near the Barclay Center.
