When I first moved to Jersey City, I knew I needed to learn to drive and Safe Roads had some of the best reviews clearly for good reason! My instructor has almost 20 years of experience as a commercial driver and instructor, but he was also timely, humorous, patient, and incredibly encouraging (even after I paused lessons for almost a year due to pregnancy and even after I had to retake my road test ). This morning I passed my road test with FLYING COLORS thanks to Safe Roads! If you need driving lessons from the best in northern NJ, be sure to check em out!
Summary: would highly recommend; great instruction that built up my confidence in driving fundamentals & safety Chokri was a great instructor (with a good sense of humor) and was patient with me when I was on the road and/or he was explaining things. The 90 minute lessons were not rushed and each lesson contained good amounts of practice both in quiet areas and through Jersey City. Note: It is worth coming to lessons with direct questions that can be addressed (e.g. mirror techniques for parallel parking/etc). I went from no experience to passing my road test first time (at Newark) in just under two weeks by having four lessons + refresher before test.
I took a handful of lessons with both Chokri and Raymond and they are both amazing and very nice teachers! Passed my test with no problems (I booked their road test service too) :)
Can t say enough good things about my experience with SafeRoads. I had one shot to take my exam before moving and only three months to learn. Chokri is an amazing instructor (also very funny) and was very flexible and communicative around scheduling. I passed the test on the first try! Feeling very safe and confident to start driving on my own highly recommend :)
I took two lessons with Chokri to prepare for my driving test. I also booked the road test with Chokri at the Newark DMV. Chokri is calm, knowledgeable, and super helpful. I felt more confident just driving in general after my lessons and also learned how to parallel park, which was previously a nerve wracking experience for me. I felt very well-prepared for my road test after my lessons and passed without issue. I highly recommend Safe Roads and Chokri!
