We ve just completed signing up our teen for Nova s Behind-the Wheel instruction. The classroom instruction was done through the CPS high school. Since CPS does not offer weekly or consistently paced driving lessons, we chose to go to Nova. I had a lot of questions. Then it was a struggle to get the proper certification document from the high school for Nova to handle certification with the DMV. Camila has been the absolute best! She has been incredibly patient and kind, and she shared so much truly helpful information. We may not have signed up with Nova if it hadn t been for Camila s remarkable assistance. My hope is that the driving instructors are equally amazing. Camila set a high bar.

Nova helped me to reschedule my lessons after having a really bad experience with my first lesson. I would again like to mention again that Kevin has been extremely kind to listen to my problems and helped me to reschedule my lessons with great patience. He even took time out of his lunch hours to make sure my lessons are scheduled according to my needs, that was extremely professional, empathetic and kind of him. He also explained the rules and program structures in details which clarified some...
of the misunderstandings I had in mind. Much appreciated after the bad experience I had after my first lesson. I will update my final reviews based on my entire experience. ----------------------------------------------------- Update: After my 1st lesson (each lesson is 2 hours). The instructor Donica Nickerson was AWEFUL! First she was late few mins and drove me for 10 mins after that to a parking lot when I actually got my hand behind the wheel. Then she also ended 10 mins early and when I asked why, she mentioned she is supposed to put in her evaluation for the last 10 mins!! So, this means you get to learn driving only for 1 hr 30 mins and Nova is charing a fees for 2 hours?!! Moreover, the instructor Donica Nickerson was absolutely intimidating, very discouraging, kept telling me how bad my driving is, while I felt I actually did quite well for my first lesson. She only wanted to make sure I failed and scored badly so THEY COULD FORCE ME BOOK MORE SESSIONS BEFORE I PASS THEIR PRACTICE TEST!! AND UNLESS YOU PASS THE TEST THEY WILL NOT TAKE YOU TO THE ROAD TEST?!! What? In that way, I will never be able to give the road test even after 100 attempts since your instructors are unreasonably rude, accommodating and merciless when it comes to grading! What is this nonsense unethical business model? This is ridiculous!! So I have already paid for 6 hours + road test and it now seems like they will decide if you are ready of not and based on that provide their vehicle for the road test! What rubbish is that? This is just a system to extract more and more money out of your pocket and the instructors are designed to give me bad ratings and intimidate you so you feel nervous and book more driving lessons with them. I am done, Dont GO BY THE POSITIVE REVIEWS, its high likely those are requested reviews or paid ones. I expected better service after the good reputation Nova have, but seems like they have lost their standards and instructors are really bad now. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED UNLESS YOU WANT TO BLEED YOUR MONEY AND LOSE YOUR SELF-CONFIDENCE! Could not have been more disappointing, absolutely pathetic. Extremely poor driving instructors, to some extent hideous and fraudulent as they are providing you with a 1.5-hour session for 2 hours + Deliberately failing you for the road test without mentioning all the details before. No transparency. No accountability for the instructors, no ways to give feedback from our end. The instructors would simply let you down and would not even explain the reason. I wish someone could have warned me before I invested so much money for this such HORRIBLE service. I wish there is a way to get my fees back, I do not want to work with them for a single day. I already feel horribly intimidated and humiliated by their instructor Donica Nickerson. Please let me go and dont subject me to more torture like this. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My first review after setting up the appoitments: I had a very positive experience with scheduling, Kevin has been extremely helpful with assisting me in setting up my account and scheduling the appointments.

My practice was at 6 am and Edgar, my instructor came exactly on time. Was super friendly and we ran through the program smoothly. I passed the test because his feedback was detailed and easy to understand! Great experience.

Highly recommend the driving school and perhaps the best in Chicagoland. Took Adult Advanced - 4 hour package. They prep you for Road Test, 3-point turn, parking (parallel/perpendicular/angle) and cars are in top condition all the time. I believe even my Tester was very happy and did say I was safest driver she evaluated that day with no fault points scored from my end. Instructors are top notch, calm and thoroughly trained to teach anyone to drive.

No one ever picks up. They charge you $60 for a last minute cancelation, but today they were suppose to pick up my son at 830AM. No text, no call. My son waiting outside for no reason because he is punctual. No one picks up & no one responds to my text. Unprofessional. $700 for a package for my son to learn & at the end of it they say he is not ready to purchase more classes. Someone the day of said they can compensate me with an hr. for the inconvenience. Today 5/30 some supervisor denied the hr. So after being an hr late, lying that he called me, having my son waiting, not being at the right location they still denied the hour. Way to having great customer service. The least you guys could of did, but instead try to sell me the hour.
