Lessons were really helpful and filled with lots of great tips and details! I gained a lot more confidence behind the wheel and felt fully prepared for the test. My turning, traffic checking, acceleration/deceleration control, etc. improved dramatically. Would definitely recommend to those wanting to improve their driving and pass their tests!

I picked ADVAN driving school because it s close to my house and has great reviews. Honestly, you don t have to actually visit the school to make appointments; it s all through texts and calls so you ll save time. The reception lady is super nice and tells you clear instructions and my driving instructor was Derek (like everyone else lol). Derek is super chill and funny, though he is picky (sometimes). But that s because he really wants you to learn and pass. Better being pointed out your mistakes...

I am highly recommending Sir Derek and ADVAN school as the best driving school in Los Angeles ,California USA. Read full review schools. their prices are truly reasonable. I availed the 6 hour combo plus the brush up and use their carb during driving test. Then Derek will pick you up to your home and you can pay him for your lessons. No need to go to their office. During my lesson, he will explain in detail the concept and the right Way of driving in a safely manner. Sometimes I asked him too much questions but he s very cool and gentle. He will explain in detail to let you understand well. Derek is very cool and flexible because I asked him nicely if he can drop me or pick me in my requested locations and he will drop you or pick you in your requested locations . If I call in the office and left voicemail messages to call me back, she would call me back right away.He also built my confidence in driving from residential, side street and esp to freeway. That s why on the test exam I m confident on my driving test though I was quite nervous . Truly, I passed the exam today and I am very happy. That s why I am giving them five stars and certainly recommend them to all from students, first time or who had drivers license in their previous country to get this ADVAN school. Very friendly and professional instructor, and I had no doubt that I would pass my driving test. They are very fast with their communication and never leave anything left to question. It was very easy to sign up for lessons and I did not have to wait a very long time for an available time slot . Test preparation was vert straightforward and easy to follow/understand. I was given a long amount of time to prepare for my lessons and driving test, and would recommend this place to others.

Took driving lessons with an instructor name Dereck. He does a very good job and will show you all the tips to drive better and safer, and be more confident. If you guys wanna be prepare for the driving test, I recommend calling up Dereck, he will explain to you what you re doing wrong and what you re right.

Very firm but knows when to chill out. Gave lots of tips and was very helpful. Worked around my busy schedule and kept up with safety procedures for COVID. Super understanding and affordable prices for what you get. Passed my driving test on the first try and only had about 4 lessons. Highly recommend!

I would highly reccomend ADVAN Driving School as I found they were very professional, helpful, patient and informative. Dereck, my instructor was great at establishing where I needed help and guided me thoroughly. He was able to push me to learn and as a result I passed my test on the first attempt! Im really grateful for his help. As I hadnt driven or had lessons for a while I also found it helpful when instructor Ryan took my first lesson to ease me back into driving and made me feel confident. Also the entire admin side of my lessons and booking the driving test with the DMV was taken care of for me by the school. Overall I had an excellent experience - Jonathan.

Im so glad that I stumbled upon ADVAN Driving School. Dereck was a really helpful driving instructor. Because of his constant reminders and laid-back personality, I was able to learn a lot in such an anxious-free atmosphere. Thanks to Dereck, I was able to pass my driving test on the first try at Glendale DMV! My driving examiner even said I should thank my instructor, haha. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who is in desperate need of an instructor who is worth the price [:

This is going to be a really long review because I want to share how instrumental Advan was in helping me pass my driving test. TLDR: Could not have done it without them! Great value and accommodating to teen drivers or adult learners with a full-time schedule alike. I called Advan after failing my test THREE times. I chalk it up to being a nervous tester and lack of technical direction. My family helped a lot but fell into one of two camps: very careful and technical but too nervous to teach me...
Read full review OR relaxed but could not provide the technical direction. Advan s good reviews made them one of my top choices. I scheduled my first session by phone call and got reminders by text. Throughout three two hour sessions, Derek provided a thorough assessment, lessons on fundamentals, insights, technical guidance, constructive criticism, encouragement and lots of feedback. I was super nervous when the time came to take my test but managed to pass with only two minor errors. I was super happy and wished I had called them from the beginning! As a new driver, I feel safe and have gotten much more comfortable driving. I truly appreciate the help I received!
